Daicel ChemTech Technical Solution Center (TCS) Grand Opening

Daicel ChemTech Technical Solution Center (TCS) has been established in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and the Grand Opening Ceremony was held on May 15, 2024. Business partners from around the US and guests from the Daicel Group in Japan and Daicel America Holdings, Inc (DAH) were invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony. The guests watched a video introducing the Daicel Group as a whole, then toured the lab and got a glimpse of the equipment and services that TCS can offer.

After the ceremony, guests sat down to a dinner party which included Kagami Biraki (ceremonial breaking open of a sake barrel) to mark the occasion and ended with Ipponjime (Japanese custom of ceremonial handclapping) to formally close the event.

TSC will provide technical support, application and formulation development, as well as collaboration with partners to create new values. The lab will be able to provide fundamental evaluation of Polyurethanes and Epoxy resins which are handled by the Smart SBU’s division of Daicel Corporation in Japan.
